So Speechless: Meeting Lady GaGa

I still can't believe it actually happened...Exactly 3 weeks ago today, I met one of my favorite artists of all time, Lady GaGa. And in the best way possible: pre-arranged (so I had time to prepare) and backstage after her Monster Ball show in Anaheim. Story and more photos after the jump.

I'm Back!

So in January I had to undergo open heart surgery. I was born with a hole in my heart that the doctors thought would either close up or stay the same size. They just found out in December that it actually had caused my aortic valve to leak, and caused a membrane to form below the vale. So I had to have the surgery to close the hole, repair or replace the valve and take away the membrane. They were thankfully able to repair the valve but I had a problem with my blood clotting after the surgery and had to have many blood transfusions.

After being out for over 12 hours and then in the ICU for another day and a half, I spent 5 more days in the hospital and a week and a half at my parents house. After moving back home it took me another 3 weeks before I could even drive, and 5 more weeks until I went back to work. I'm still only working part time so I can continue going to cardiac rehab twice a week. I'm a lot better now though and have decided to start writing in this blog again :-)
