Top 12 Female Pop Artists - Number 10: Goldfrapp

Every Saturday for the next 12 weeks I decided to count down my top 12 female pop artists. After each cut will be a short explanation of why they made the list and their discographies. Number 10 - Goldfrapp


Goldfrapp is an English electronic music duo that consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals/synthesizer) and Will Gregory (synthesizer). Alison is definitely a free bitch, so because she's the face of the duo, they are eligible for this countdown.

Goldfrapp makes great electronic pop music and even their albums are very versatile. While one album is more mellow and moody, another can sound like it came right out of the 1980s. Whatever mood I'm in, there's always a Goldfrapp song that fits. Their music is interesting and different, yet still mainstream enough to feed my pop taste.
