Top 12 Female Pop Artists - Number 9: Sia

Every Saturday for the next 12 weeks I decided to count down my top 12 female pop artists. After each cut will be a short explanation of why they made the list and their discographies. There will also be audio of some of my favorite songs to listen to, and video of some of their music videos and live performances that I like the most. Number 9 - Sia

Song of the Week (Week of May 1, 2011)

This week's Song of the Week is by Australian singer Sia, from the 2004 album "Colour the Small One." The song was released as a single in the UK only, where it peaked at number 85. With songs such as "Breathe Me" and "Numb" on the same album, "Colour the Small One" remains one of Sia's signature albums, spotlighting her moody pop and incredible songwriting talent. On a personal level, the song has really fit my mood of the weekend, which has been a mixture of emotions. Enjoy!
